Mercury Lounge

Located in a 5-story building that originally housed servants of the Vanderbilt estate, the Mercury Lounge is one of NYC's premier small music venues. Conceived around a music room of near perfect acoustics, CCArchitects worked within a tight budget to create relaxed, hand crafted atmosphere. 12X12 timers found on site were reincarnated as a dense colonnade at the Houston Street façade. Light fixtures were crafted from rib lathe, while the bar was transposed from a turn-of-the-century Brooklyn Tavern.
