This 8,000 SF home crests the apex of a 125-acre site. It fits the local vernacular, and recalls the owners' love of English country houses and Tuscan farms. The simple gabled form expresses the main house, the Owner's law offices, and the skewed service wing. Cedar clapboard and "post & beam" trim clad most of the house while brick roots the house to the land. Guests may park in the lower court and ascend the entry stair, or continue up through the 2-story passage to the upper parking court, garages and rear loggia.
