This 3000 SF renovation involves the combining of two ground floor apartments into one while transforming the layout of both.  The clients challenged CCArchitects to create "prewar" charm within a bland, "postwar" context. The new plan provides the formal and informal activities at the opposite ends of a new central axis framed by a series of double "french" doors. A central gallery welcomes visitors with a selection of art and rare books. Amid a maze of existing plumbing an inviting "country" kitchen was wrought.
