Ramaz School

On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the Ramaz School accommodates 500 students on seven levels. Major activities include classrooms, laboratories, libraries, art studios, and a gymnasium. Holding the street line on a compact site, the satin stainless steel facade abstracts the townhouse vocabulary of the local context. This highly acclaimed school won the highest design citation from the Interfaith Forum for Religious Art and Architecture, and was widely publicized in Architectural Record. This work was a collaboration between William J Conklin and James Rossant.
